From within the Hummingbird brings to mind the stark apocalyptic tone of Mexico City troubadour Rockdrigo Gonzales, reflections of acoustic arrangements from Cuba's Silvio Rodriguez and the magic of modern California/Baja California regional border music captured here in full stereo in it's 12-string acoustic guitar madness. Pressed on 200 gram vinyl and housed within a limited run of LP jackets hand assembled with amate, the indigenous Mesoamerican paper used in codexes and later burned throughout Spanish colonialism.

Produced by veteran Bay Area musical heavy weights Greg Landau and Camilo Landau of Round Whirled Records. Enjoy the lyrical themes of death, women, marijuana and the metropolitan border muse.
